Poodles require plaque to be removed regularly by brushing and flossing. These are the main\ndental issues your dog may have and how to cure them:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"plaque\">Plaque<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>From time to time, your poodle may\ndevelop a layer of plaque over its teeth. Plaque is always present in\nthe mouth, but if you don\u2019t brush your poodle\u2019s teeth often, the\nsubstance will accumulate and leave a thin layer atop healthy teeth.\nPlaque needs to be removed periodically because your poodles can\u2019t\nbrush their teeth on their own! \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Removing plaque can be scary for your\npoodle as vet\u2019s use vibrating tools that squirt out water so your\npet may be given a mild sedative or even anesthesia. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once removed, your poodle\u2019s bad\nbreath should vanish. Plaque can be dangerous as it will eat away\nyour poodle\u2019s enamel, cause decay to gums and teeth, and lead to\npainful infection so get it treated as soon as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"teeth-are-not-clean\">Teeth Are Not Clean<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Keep bad breath and plaque at bay by brushing your poodle\u2019s teeth daily.
